 The party starts as soon as guests arrive. Greet friends and family with a tray of piping-hot cider, garnished with fresh cinnamon stir sticks.

Pumpkin Brownies








These are just delightful, filled with pumpkin spices, rich and flavorful. I love to have them for breakfast with a cup of coffee or ginger tea. Everything in them is so good for you! Just bake a red garnet yam and use that for the filling. Really easy to make.
Dry:
2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice or (1tsp. ginger, 1/4 tsp. all spice, 1/4 tsp. ground cloves)
Wet:
1 cup puréed red garnet yam or pumpkin.
1 egg
½ cup canola oil
1 cup maple syrup
1 Tb. vanilla
Butter or oil the baking pan.
Mix the dry ingredients.
Add the wet ingredients and mix thoroughly
Pour into a 9 x 13 baking pan.
Sprinkle with the chopped nuts.
Bake 25 minutes at 350.
